About the Award

This award recognises excellence in employee communications strategy. It celebrates work that strengthens organisational alignment, builds trust, and drives meaningful engagement through clear, transparent, and purposeful communication.

Judging Criteria (Please note that Strategy Area has the Highest Score Weighting)

1. Executive Summary
Overall quality, clarity, and credibility of the submission. Judges will assess how effectively the internal challenge, strategy, and impact are articulated.

2. Strategy
Demonstrates a clear and insight-led internal communications strategy. Includes alignment with organisational objectives, culture, and employee needs.

3. Innovation
Shows evidence of innovative thinking in how employees are engaged. Includes new or effective approaches to communication, participation, or cultural alignment.

4. Creativity (Design & Communication)
Demonstrates how communication is crafted and delivered. Includes clarity, tone, consistency, and the ability to communicate complex or important messages effectively.

5. Experience
Illustrates how employees engage with the communication. Includes accessibility, relevance, and the ability to create meaningful and ongoing interaction.

6. Leadership
Demonstrates leadership in driving alignment and engagement. Includes collaboration across leadership and teams, and the ability to influence behaviour and culture.

7. Impact & Results
Provides clear, measurable evidence of success. This may include engagement, participation, alignment, behavioural change, or cultural outcomes. Base numbers must be included.
