| Executive Summary: |
In Gimme Summer, we used design not just to decorate public space but to spark curiosity and conversation. The “fake out-of-home” (FOOH) lion on Nelson Mandela Bridge became a viral moment—blurring physical and digital worlds. With no physical installation, we used striking visuals and motion graphics to simulate a giant lion lounging on the landmark. This creative led to massive social engagement, inspired UGC, and served as a bold symbol of the Sho’t Left spirit. The FOOH tactic allowed us to break OOH conventions, driving millions of impressions at a fraction of traditional media costs—all while making Mzansi feel alive with summer energy again. |
